It is rarely possible to fully remove a tick by hand or with tweezers: usually, the tick's head remains in the skin, resulting in a localised infection.

The O'Tom Tick Twister is the easiest, quickest, most effective and least dangerous method of removing any kind of tick, whether it is large or small, regardless of where it is on your pet, and regardless of whether it is on your cat, dog, or horse, Quick, simple, pain free and reusable, the O'Tom Tick Twister allows you to remove the tick with its head attached, thereby avoiding the risk of infection, and without squeezing the tick's abdomen, which reduces the risk of transmitting tick-borne diseases.

Instructions for use:

1. Choose the O'Tom Tick Twister best suited to the size of the tick to be removed.
2. Place the slit of the O'Tom Tick Twister against the skin, on either side of the tick, carefully positioning the Tick Twister so that the tick is firmly in place.
3. Gently lift the Tick Twister and TURN it as you would turn a screwdriver.
4. The tick will release its hold after you have turned it a few times.

Warning: Although removing the tick using the O'Tom Tick Twister minimises the risk of transmitting tick-borne illnesses, it does not eliminate the risk of contamination entirely. Contamination may already have taken place prior to removal of the tick.

Can cats get ticks?

Ticks are common in woodland and grassland and, although active throughout the year, you'll most likely see them between Spring and Autumn. Cats are less likely to get ticks than dogs, but it can still happen.
