Use 1ml of King British Water Safe for Turtles & Terrapins per 9 litres of water.

1. If you are setting your terrarium up for the first time, you will need to calculate the size of the swimming area in your tank. If you are unsure how to do this then please follow the instructions below. Alternatively, if you are carrying out a partial water change, you will only need to treat the new tap water that is to be added to your tank.
2. Gently invert the bottle before use.
3. Using the pipette provided, which dispenses 1ml, or the cap of the bottle which holds 4ml, measure the required amount of King British Water Safe for Turtles & Terrapins.
4. Dispense the treatment directly into the terrarium water.

Formulas to calculate the volume of water in your terrarium

Square and rectangular terrariums: Average Length (cm) x Average Width (cm) x Average Height (cm) ÷ 1000 = Volume (L)

Circular terrariums: Surface Area (cm²) x Average Depth (cm) ÷ 1000
If you are unsure what the surface area of your circular terrarium is you will need to calculate this using (R² x π) or by using the following steps.

1. Measure the radius of your terrarium. This is the centre of the terrarium to the edge. The easiest way to do this is to measure across the entire length of your terrarium across the middle and divide by 2: Length (cm) ÷ 2 = Radius (cm)
2. Then, multiply the answer by itself: Radius x Radius (or R²)
3. Next, multiply the new answer by 3.14 (or R² x π) = Surface Area (cm²)
4. You are now ready to calculate the volume of water in your terrarium
5. Multiply the new answer by the average depth of your terrarium: Surface Area (cm²) x Average Depth ÷ 1000 = Volume (L)

Alternatively, consult the manufacturer's packaging or if you are filling the terrarium for the first time, you can measure the water as it is added.
