The Fluval Foam Pads captures large particles and debris for effective mechanical filtration, the crucial first stage in the filtration process.

Custom-sized for the Fluval U range internal filters, the foam pad fits perfectly inside the filter chamber to prevent debris bypass.

All sizes of Mini, U2, U3 and U4 filter foam pads come in boxes of 2 (2 pads in each box) with the exception of the U1 which only has one pad in each box.

Instructions:

Rinse the foam pad thoroughly before first use and place in the empty filter compartment. Rinse the foam pad when the water circulation slows noticeably, using aquarium water NOT tap water, and replace it when it becomes worn, does not bounce back into shape when squeezed, or starts to tear.

BEWARE of counterfeit foams which can be falsely advertised as Fluval, but are just compatible and non genuine. These are usually lower grade foams and may not fit the chamber correctly.
